Photographs to Remember.
The point of my work is the same as it has always been since the base concept of photography was created: to freeze a moment in time.
My goal is to make the viewer look deeper — scrolling past belies the entire concept of my work. Consume it. Inhale, exhale. Let the photograph guide you from left to right, up to down and back again. Inhale, exhale. Draw it into your memory. Now you understand my work.

This website is a work of the photographer Owen Fiene, intended to be an incomplete record of commissioned & personal work rendered over a period of time as yet unspecified. All work is intended to a) inspire and b) demonstrate the mastery of the photographer.
You will find that my photography is rooted in natural light, with minimal editing to convey the moment as best as possible -- creating the best work when the conditions are less than perfect.
As stated above, the overarching philosophy in my photography is that a photograph is a moment frozen in time, and as such, to mess with it too much in post is to destroy the beauty of that moment. My belief is that quality is paramount, as is good planning, and honesty.
I am based in Reykjavík, Iceland. If you are looking for a photographer to document a film production, theatre production, upcoming event, editorial, portrait session, or even a personal photography travel guide in Iceland, please contact me.
While my work takes many forms, I produce limited editions of my photographs, available to purchase by contacting me directly.
