VISUAL Diary
An attempt to subvert social media and stay in touch with those around me. Remember when Instagram was for sharing photos?

In the last year plus worth of time, there have been moments when things just feel like they were maybe five to ten years ago, objectively normal moments. This past summer a group of incredible people came together to throw a rave and dance all day and all night. Everything was special leading up to it until they started posting “No Cameras” in the channels. What was I going to do? Obviously, I’m bringing my camera and taking as many discreet photos as I can. Luckily, the host of the party grabbed me and asked if I brought my camera because he really wanted to get some photos and gave me a pass to shoot as many as I wanted. Lesson learned, as always, never leave without my camera and never back down when it comes to what you do and love. It is in your blood and will remain the most important thing to do until the end.

The absolute best part of social living is dancing to good music. I love it more than any other form of socialising, everyone is letting go of their pretences and enjoying themselves while listening to great music. This is another reason I love the compact camera as an every day camera. Being able to dance and be discreet with the camera allows me to get results like above.
